Vendor Renewals ABU
Can a bounded software-defined office take a renewal case from intake to a defensible recommendation, coordinate specialist workers, stop for human authority, and preserve evidence of how the work was done?
The Vendor Renewals experiment is the current end-to-end ABU proof. A Front Desk coordinates contract, usage, security, finance and procurement specialists. The unit carries shared renewal knowledge, prepares a recommendation, exposes the work behind that recommendation, waits at the named human decision point, and preserves an audit trail through the case.
What this experiment is intended to test: whether an ABU can own progression of an end-to-end business case without reducing the work to one hard-wired workflow. It does not claim a fully autonomous business unit. Human authority remains explicit where the operating boundary requires it.
